Not made in china

“Not made in China” is a ceramic exhibition, where the process of making is in focus. Instead of traditional exhibition text I used infodiagram that illustrates the prosess step by step. The purpose of this project is to awake audience to how much work is put into a single ceramic piece. Western society is spoiled by cheap ceramics, not being aware of the process behind. The tittel is very direct, maybe even uncomfortable for some, knowing that industries are doing their best to hide the dark secret behind cheap products. The other thing I wanna focus on is local crafts. As most of production is moved to Asia, Europe becomes more fragile when it comes to loosing knowledge and craft skills. Loosing knowledge and understanding of materials and the process of creating, makes society weak.
