Medieval inspired ceramics

I just started to work with clay called Nigra2002. It’s a first time I work with this clay. It is very plastic, soft, good for plaster molds and wheel throwing , not so good for bigger sculptures.

I love the black color, and it is suppose to be same black when fired at 1250 C. I want to make use of its natural color (no glazing) so I am making a series of candle holders that might and hopefefully will look iron-like.
